Creating Products: Step-by-Step Manual Process

1. Access Tall Order Admin Dashboard:

  • Log in to the Tall Order Admin platform.

2. Navigate to Products:

  • On the left-hand side of the Dashboard, click on “Products.”

3. Explore Product Functions

  • After clicking on “Products,” a drop down list of functions related to products will appear.

4. Select ‘Create Product’:

  • Within the drop-down list, choose and click on “Create Product.”

5. Enter Product Details:

  • Input the following details for the product
  • Name: ‘Button Name’ for POS display.
  • Display Name: Name for Tall Order Reporting.
  • Print Slip Name: Name for slips.
  • Display Description: Product/service description.

6. Assign Product Codes:

  • Input the following codes:
  • SKU (Stock Keeping Unit): Unique product code.
  • Barcode: Readable code for scanning items with a bar code scanner.

7. Department and Modifier Settings:

  • Choose a reporting category under ‘Department.’
  • Use ‘Modifier Only‘ if the item is an Add-On only.

8. Financial Information:

Under the Finance Tab, enter:

  • Price: Selling price of the item.
  • Cost: Cost price of the item.

9. Tax and Special Pricing:

  • Choose a ‘Tax Group’ for taxable or non-taxable status.
  • Activate ‘On Special‘ for promotional pricing.

10. Seasonal Quote (SQ) and Availability:

  • Input SQ price under ‘SQ.’
  • Use the Availability Tab to specify periods when the product will be available.

11. Point of Sale (POS) Settings:

  • Under the POS Tab, assign the item to a designated printer (applicable for hospitality, e.g., Kitchen Printer).

12. ToGo Configuration:

  • In the ToGo Tab, specify whether the item is available for ToGo.
  • Decide if it will be an ‘Auto-Accept’ item on ToGo.
